Art School Maa
Art School Maa, founded in 1986, offers versatile arts education in Suomenlinna.
In its teaching, Maa emphasises interdisciplinarity, thinking and new forms in contemporary arts. Alongside visual arts methods, Maa’s teaching includes e.g. performance, sound art and critical theory.
In addition to teaching, Maa maintains project space Maa-Tila located in Sörnäinen, and organises art activities in the Helsinki metropolitan region and internationally.

Open position at Maa-Tila
We are looking for a part-time intern for Maa-Tila project space starting in January or by agreement. The internship is possible for students, and job seekers as a work try-out or with pay subsidy. Apply by Sunday 1.12.2024 at 16.00.
Statements on Art School Maa’s situation
The cuts to the school’s operating grants endanger the future of Art School Maa – support diversity in art education. Kela's planned discontinuation of the study support has been corrected.
