Ana Gutieszca is a visual & sound artist, curator and co-founder of Äänitaiteen Seura, an artist-run venue in Helsinki, dedicated to contemporary sound art. She is fascinated by the transformation of drawing into sound and using graphite as a tool for sound making. In her artistic work she combines her background of visual arts and music into performance art, sculpting the unfathomable boundaries of drawing through creation of analogue instruments and the sonification of graphite. She is also known for being the founder and sonic mind behind Third Space, an artist-run gallery and collective based in Helsinki, curating numerous exhibitions and the Sound Room concert series from 2013-2021.
